It's Race Day, can you feel the excitement?  I love this sense of nervous anticipation, like a race horse stuck in the gates, ready to take off!  I love to look into the eyes of other runners, whether you are the newbie, or the legend, your eyes are focused on the same goal.  There is a different energy in the air, something you only feel on race day.  Soak it in!!

It's time to take care of all the last minute essentials.  Gotta eat something, get some fluids in (yes a little coffee is a beautiful thing) and run thru my gear one last time.
Shoes - check
timing chip on shoes - check
bib number - check
jacket - check
ITs RACE DAY!!  No need to say any more!  Focus on your goals, focus on the finish, focus on why you are running this race!!
I will see you at the finish line.  This is your day, have a great run!!
